All Custom Lid order tanks should be hand measured by the customer, of the actual tank that is receiving a lid. Please do not use online specs, glass thickness or any numbers that are not measured on your own tank, from the inside glass to the inside glass, left to right and front to back.
You can find the square footage (lid size selection) by using the square footage calculator on the Custom Lids page at the top of the product description by entering the internal dims of your tank. ***do not forget to enter the internal dimensions in the Order Notes box for programming.
WHEN PLACING AN ORDER, PLEASE ALWAYS USE YOUR MOST FREQUENTLY CHECKED EMAIL. WE DO NOT SHARE, SELL OR MARKET USING EMAIL ADDRESSES, EVER. THIS IS TO ENSURE ALL COMMUNICATION IS PROMPT AND RECEIVED BY YOU IN EFFORT TO FULFILL YOUR ORDER ON TIME!
International Purchases, shipping charges paid at checkout cover ONLY shipping and do not cover or apply to duty or customs fees for orders placed outside the USA.
To place a Custom Lids order, you can follow the instructions below, and any additional information needed can be found on the Custom Lid page.
Below, please find three helpful links; one to learn about each style, the second is a picture gallery, the third is our production times page. Each of these pages can also be found in our main menu.
Your lid will be custom, so with your lid style choice and under the heading of custom, you will find the correctly estimated production time.
Any internal overflow less than 1/4" below the rim of the tank will require a large custom cutout (for Waterbox tanks with an internal overflow, this cutout will be required for fitment) and can be added under the blue button on the product page below marked Customize My Lid, where you can also add any other needed or desired options, such as light mounts and feed doors.
We will not accept any orders with a curved corner overflow requiring a cutout.
To measure for lights or cutouts. Measure the length of the light or device (on the tank, the portion that runs parallel to the tank) and the depth (this will be from the inside glass to the furthest point in the tank).
Then you will measure from the closest corner to the beginning of the cutout needed for each light/device for placement.
EX:
3.5" x 1"
start cutout 9" in from each rear corner on the rear of the tank
We do ask that you please enter the make, model and written internal dimensions of your tank in the Order Notes Section prior to checkout. This is crucial to our programming of your lid. Please make exact, tight measurements of the internal tank, as we will be subtracting an offset for fitment. If you have an AIO tank, or a tank that has a sump area running across an entire length of the tank, please measure UP TO the false wall.
The Order Notes section can be found on the page after completing your order and clicking Add To Cart. This is where you will enter the lid make, model and tightly measured (by you) internal dimensions.

All listed products (tanks/lids with a named product page) have an offset that has been determined to be the best fit during the vetting process and may or may not be the same or similar to the custom lids. No lid should have more than 1/8" gap on any side between the lid and glass or inner part of the lip/ledge where the lid may rest. Never order a lid for a tank that is NOT the same as the one you own.
On cutouts and custom lids if you have provided your own fitment space, or do not want any offsets, you must specifically say so in writing via email or in your order notes. If you want a listed product at your own dimensions, it must be purchased as a custom lid as it would be programming from scratch to match your dimensions. (please see Understanding Your CAD file in the main menu, under the FAQ's drop down menu)
